Fall 2022 Orientation

Freshman Orientation is a two-part all-inclusive experience designed to help support your transition to Cal Poly Humboldt and show you what it means to be a member of our Lumberjack community.

You’ll learn how to navigate Humboldt’s online technologies in order to register for classes, and what it means to be an academically successful student. You'll also connect with faculty and students before school starts and learn about how Cal Poly Humboldt can best support you during your time here.

Part I

The first portion of your orientation will be in the form of an online Canvas course that you may complete at your own pace. The "New Student Orientation Tutorial" will introduce you to resources on campus, ways to get involved, and other helpful information. The New Student Orientation Tutorial opens Monday, August 1 at 5 PM, and closes Sunday August 14 at 11:59pm.

To access your tutorial please visit your myhumboldt portal and click on the Canvas icon to be brought to your dashboard.

Part II

The second part of your orientation will be in-person and consists of a two-day orientation from Monday, August 15 through Tuesday, August 16. Please check your Humboldt email for updates and information.
