Freshman are divided into two groups during Welcome Week.

To see which group you belong to and to find your schedule for the week, check out the break down below. 

Green Track

Green Track

You belong to the the Green Track if you are a part of the following PBLCs: 

  • Klamath Connection
  • Among Giants
  • Baduwa’t to Bay
  • Creando Raíces
  • Rising Tides

Individualized schedules will be posted for each PBLC by mid-July. To get a general idea of what Green Tracked students can expect, visit the Green Track page below.

Gold Track

Students volunteering as part of their place-based learning community

You belong to the Gold Track if you have opted out of your PBLC or if you belong to one of these PBLCs:

  • Green to Gold
  • Educators for Social Justice
  • Healthy Humboldt
  • Food Futures
  • Global Humboldt
  • Creative Coast
  • Dreamscapes
  • People and Planet
  • Stars to Rocks
  • Representing Realities
  • Students who have opted out of their PBLC

Fall 2025 Orientation 

Welcome Week will begin August 19th for all freshman. General schedules can be found above and detailed schedules regarding PBLC specific activities will be posted mid-July.

Welcome Week is designed to welcome you to campus and help support your transition to Cal Poly Humboldt. You'll have an opportunity to connect with faculty and students before school starts, and learn about resources to support you at Cal Poly Humboldt.

New Student Registration Tutorial

All students must complete the New Student Registration Tutorial to be eligible to register for classes. You’ll learn about your degree requirements, how to use campus technology, and how to choose and register for classes.

Freshman Registration starts in June of 2024. For more information on how to register for the tutorial, please contact the Office of Admissions at 707-826-3011.
